NAPLES, Fla. (July 31, 2026) – Youth Haven, Collier County’s only emergency and residential shelter for abused, neglected and homeless children and teens ages 6 to 21, has received a $70,000 grant from the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation to support trauma-informed therapeutic and residential care for vulnerable youth.
The funding will help provide comprehensive therapeutic and residential services across Youth Haven’s Emergency and Residential Shelter, Homeless Teen Transitional Living Program and Rob’s Cottage. Support includes clinical care, 24-hour supervision, educational assistance, nutritious meals and other essential daily resources.

Schulze Family Foundation will help us provide the consistent care, stability and individualized support our youth need to build resilience,” said Linda Goldfield, CEO of Youth Haven. “We are deeply grateful for the foundation’s commitment to helping children and teens heal, build confidence and prepare for healthy, independent futures.”
Youth Haven serves children and teens each year through individualized therapy, case management, educational support and life-skills programming. The nonprofit helps young people develop healthy coping skills and work toward long-term stability and independence. Investments like this allow Youth Haven to provide the continuity of care that trauma recovery requires. The funding will help ensure each child receives the structure, personalized services and supportive environment needed to heal and grow.
The Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation supports initiatives in education, health care and human services that strengthen individuals, families and communities with grant-making focused in Minnesota and Southwest Florida.
