YOUTH HAVEN, INC. AWARDED GRANT FROM THE RICHARD M. SCHULZE FAMILY FOUNDATION

Naples, FL (November 22, 2021). Youth Haven, Inc. is grateful to receive a $60,000 grant from the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation. The funds will assist with general operations expenses to care for the abused and neglected children and teens that depend on Youth Haven for Home, Hope and Healing.

Youth Haven, located in Naples, is Southwest Florida’s only residential shelter for children and teens removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. With beds for up to 70 youth, Youth Haven accepts new residents 365 days a year, 24-hours a day. Established in 1972 and in continuous operation for nearly 50 years, Youth Haven provides programs that create transformational change in our youth.

The Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation (RMSFF) was created in 2004 by Best Buy founder, Dick Schulze, to give back to the Minnesota communities where Dick and his family grew up and in Florida, where he now maintains a permanent residence. RMSFF supports organizations operating in the areas of human & social services, education, and health & medicine.

“Youth Haven is grateful for the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation’s continued investment in Youth Haven,” said Linda Goldfield, Youth Haven Executive Director. “The COVID-19 pandemic significantly affected our fundraising efforts. The general operations support we received from the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation will allow us to continue to provide life-changing programs to the children and teens that rely on Youth Haven.”
