Naples, Fl (May 2, 2023). A surge of excitement and joyous anticipation is evident on Youth Haven’s therapeutic campus as the countdown to Walt Disney World begins. The children and teens at Youth Haven, who have all experienced abuse and neglect, will embark on a journey of a lifetime on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Thanks to the generous donation from Valerie & Arturo Guido, owners of Legno Bastone Wide Plank Flooring of Naples, Florida, the children will board a charter bus for a three-hour ride to the amusement park.
For over 50 years, Youth Haven has been providing Home, Hope, and Healing to these children and teens, many of whom have experienced traumatic situations. The upcoming trip to Disney World is a much-needed escape, and for the majority of them, it will be their first time experiencing the magic of the park. Each child will receive a customized t-shirt, a donated backpack filled with snacks for the day, and spending money to purchase a souvenir from the gift shop.
“It warms my heart to hear the children exclaim with joy, ‘We’re going to Disney World!’,” said Linda Goldfield, Youth Haven’s Chief Executive Officer. “Our team is grateful for the Guidos’ support in making this trip possible. This experience will create memories that will last a lifetime, and we are honored to be able to provide this opportunity for the children and teens in our care.”
