YOUTH HAVEN, INC. AWARDED GRANT FROM COLLIER COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

Naples, Fl (July 17, 2024). Youth Haven, Inc., located in Naples, Florida, is excited to announce that it has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the Collier Community Foundation. This generous grant will significantly support Youth Haven’s Education Program, which is dedicated to enhancing the academic and life skills of youth in the foster care system.

Youth Haven is Southwest Florida’s only emergency and residential shelter for boys and girls aged 10 to 20 who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, or homelessness. The organization provides critical support through innovative therapies and therapeutic environments designed to aid in the healing journey of these young individuals.

Research shows that youth in foster care often lag behind their peers academically by an average of 1.5 to 2.5 years. To address this gap, Youth Haven has developed the Educational Support Programming, which includes an Education Hub. This supportive environment is specifically designed to boost the academic performance, life skills, and workforce readiness of abused and neglected children and teens.

Linda Goldfield, Chief Executive Officer of Youth Haven, expressed her gratitude for the grant, stating, “We’re grateful for the generous support from the Collier Community Foundation. With their support, Youth Haven can continue to meet and exceed our children and teens’ needs.”

The grant from the Collier Community Foundation will play a crucial role in helping Youth Haven provide essential educational resources and support to those who need it most.
