Naples, Fl (October 1, 2023).
Youth Haven, Inc. is pleased to announce they’re a recipient of a $25,000.00 grant from the Pulte Family Charitable Foundation, a private family foundation working to meet the basic human needs of the most marginalized members of the human family. The funds received will benefit Youth Haven’s Food and Nutrition Services Program.
The children and teens that arrive to Youth Haven’s therapeutic campus come from traumatic situations. Proper nutrition is crucial for emotional healing. Many of our youth face food insecurity, malnutrition, or obesity upon arrival. Malnutrition can lead to serious health issues, including diabetes, heart disease, psychological stress, anxiety, and depression. Failure to thrive is common among foster children due to nutritional deficiencies, leading to developmental delays and behavioral issues. Youth Haven is committed to ensuring every child receives the nutrition and care they need to flourish.
“We’re grateful for the generous funding we have received from Pulte Family Charitable Foundation,” said Linda Goldfield, Youth Haven Executive Director. “With their support, Youth Haven can continue to meet and exceed our vulnerable youth’s food & nutritional needs.”
